Five Winds International offers its clients a unique combination of technical, marketing and communications experience in the building materials and construction industry to help them identify opportunities for designing, manufacturing, building and operating their businesses more sustainably.

At Five Winds, we provide our clients with solutions that help them integrate sustainability into their operations and capture the resulting market opportunities. We use a variety of approaches such as life cycle assessment (LCA) and design for environment (DfE) to help companies and organizations quantify their environmental impacts and create business value by developing and marketing more sustainable building products.

We are also helping shape the future through our participation at a leadership level in forums such as the U.S. Green Building Council, Indoor Air Quality Association and National Center for Energy Management and Building Technology.

 GaBi i-Report

To meet regulatory and market pressures to quantify the environmental impacts embodied in buildings, PE Americas — a Five Winds joint venture — developed an innovative life cycle assessment tool called the GaBi i-report. This interactive tool allows architects and contractors without prior experience in life cycle analysis (LCA) to actively engage in identifying design alternatives for reducing a building's net environmental impact.
