Five Winds International has supported several core components of Carnival Corporation's journey to sustainability. In 2005, by engaging our international team for a range of consulting support, Five Winds advised and assisted Carnival Corporation with the design, implementation and certification of their environmental management systems to meet ISO 14001 for all cruise ship operations. In 2006, this initiative resulted in certification of seven Carnival operating lines and Carnival's fleet (at that time) of 81 cruise ships. In 2007, Five Winds developed and implemented Carnival's corporate-wide Environmental Requirements Tracking Database to capture, validate and catalogue environmental operational requirements in ports and operating areas to ensure compliance. In 2008, Five Winds once again began to support Carnival in the development of sustainability reporting metrics, procedures, a data collection system, and finished sustainability reports, across the corporation's seven operating lines.
