Five Winds Supports Restoration Efforts in Local Watershed

Published by Paulette Fréchette on August 24, 2010

The Five Winds Paoli Office hosted a summer volunteer event to work on local restoration efforts with the Chester-Ridley-Crum Watersheds Association. Five Winds Paoli volunteered at the Ridley Creek riparian restoration site last September and again this July to remove invasive species and plant native grasses. This site is nominated for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Community Greening Award which celebrates public green spaces in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Five Winds helped prepare the site for the Community Greening judge's visit in late August. If the site is given the Community Greening Award Five Winds will be recognized on the award as a partner organization in local community greening efforts.
