Prepared for Environment Canada, this study provides an environmental scan of toxic and hazardous materials in the waste and products of the information technology (IT) and telecom industries. The study investigates the hazards and risks associated with nine toxic or hazardous materials, and documents original equipment manufacturer (OEM) initiatives to reduce these materials from their products.
