Environmental Management System Training

The purpose of this training is to describe the operating principles of an environmental management system (EMS), and to provide a common understanding of what an EMS does, how it is organized and how it fits within an organization.

The training contains four modules to allow various levels of exploration:

• EMS in a Nutshell: What you need to know in four slides.
• EMS Overview: A general overview of the core elements of an EMS.
• Audits-What to Expect: A list of common audit questions and answers to review in preparation for an audit.
• What is ISO 14001? A short introduction to ISO 14001, how the organization meets its requirements, and how to deal with an ISO audit.
