Life Cycle Thinking & LCA

Five Winds has developed and delivered a 2 day training course for engineers, scientists, and operational managers as an introduction to life cycle assessment, life cycle impact assessment, and a hands-on tutorial on GaBi, a life cycle assessment tool. The main focus of this training session is to build capacity in the LCA software GaBi through a detailed step by step, from start to end, real life scenario, supplemented with a basic introduction to LCA and LCIA. This training session highlights the ISO 14000 documentation, origin and concepts of LCA, origin and how to use the variety of impact assessment methodologies available, followed by selected relevant examples of how LCA was used in internal decision making.
